Technical Specifications

Heavy Monolithic Refractories

General Description:

Amol Refractory Industries Company produces various types of heavy monolithic refractories with hydraulic bonding for maximum operating temperatures of 1800°C. Depending on the installation method, these refractories are available in different compositions for casting and gunning with high adhesion and low segregation.

For diverse requirements such as abrasion resistance, thermal shock resistance, thermal conductivity, chemical purity, and high resistance to acid/base chemical corrosion, suitable products have been designed.

Advantages and Specifications:

  • High compressive and flexural strength
  • Suitable chromomechanical properties
  • Resistance to thermal shock and fracture
  • Abrasion resistance
  • High chemical corrosion resistance
  • Suitable rheological properties
  • Easy installation capability

Applications

Heavy monolithic refractories are used in the following industries:

  • Chemical and petrochemical industries (olefins, methanol)
  • Ferrous metals (iron ore pelletizing, direct reduction of iron ore, steel, cast iron)
  • Non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper)
  • Ceramics (tiles, porcelain, glass, cement)

Technical Specifications

The following data represent typical average values of physical, mechanical, and chemical properties for various types of heavy monolithic refractories, which also have a usual range of variation. Additionally, new products can be manufactured according to customers' technical requests and special design needs for various industrial applications.
