Technical Specifications

SD-CAC60

1. General Description:

SD-CAC60 is a hydraulic binder based on calcium aluminate composition. Amol Dirgodaz Industries Co. produces SD-CAC60 cement with alumina content ≥57% by weight and in accordance with quality indices of the standard.

2.3. Mineral Composition

Main Phases Secondary Phases
CA C₂AS, CAS, CA₂

3.3. Physical and Mechanical Properties - Cement

Index Unit Value
Melting Point (Pure) °C 1450
Loss on Ignition (900°C Furnace) % ≤5
True Density g/cm³ 2.9-3.05
Bulk Density g/cm³ 1-1.15
Specific Surface Area (Blaine) cm²/gr 3800-4500

4.3. Physical and Mechanical Properties - Cement Mortar

These tests are performed using cement mortar with appropriate workability. The desired cement mortar mix includes 1250 grams of standard aggregate and 500 grams of water (EN-196-1).

Index Unit Value
Flow Spread (ASTM C1437) % 30
Setting Time (EN 196-3) minutes ≤450
Compressive Strength (EN 196-1) at 24 hours kg/cm² ≥400

4. Packaging and Shelf Life

SD-CAC60 is packaged in 25 kg or 1000 kg bags. This cement has a shelf life of 6 months if stored in suitable dry conditions. In most cases, product properties remain stable for more than one year. This cement should not be stored outdoors, in humid conditions, or in direct contact with the ground.

2. Features and Applications

This cement has characteristics such as suitable refractoriness, stable rheological properties, normal setting and hardening behavior, adequate chemical corrosion resistance, good abrasion resistance, and suitable thermal shock resistance. Additionally, low iron oxide content (less than 2% by weight) is suitable for resistance against reducing atmospheres caused by carbon monoxide and other factors.

SD-CAC60 cement has higher alumina content (≥57% by weight) and fewer impurities compared to SD-CAC50, resulting in higher thermal and chemical stability. This cement contains no additives and is compatible with most organic and inorganic additives to achieve suitable workability, flowability, and strength development for various types of deflocculated castables.

This cement is suitable for refractory applications or medium temperature performance and is used in the production of monolithic refractory compositions (castable/sprayable) and any other monolithic refractories.
